Gopal Subramanium, the Chairman of the Bar Council of India has said that the first All India Bar Examination was scheduled in March 2011 to ensure that law graduates across the country had an equal opportunity to give the exam. If the exam had been scheduled before December, it would have provided students from those colleges which release their results early, with an undue advantage, he said.
